The Centre for Transformative Regulation of Work (CENTROW) and CoLab for e-Inclusion and Social Innovation CoLab) invite you to join us for a
solutions orientated online conference on Platform work and inclusion: Ensuring Decent Work and Basic Rights.
Date: 2-3 March 2022
Time: 14h00 - 17h30 pm (SAST)
The conference will build on existing knowledge. It will be multi-disciplinary, incorporating aspects of law, technology, social sciences, management
and organisation and will focus on:
Platform work as a mechanism for promoting -
(i) The inclusion of vulnerable / marginalised / casual workers in
(ii) The creation of work opportunities (projects), based on
(iii) Decent work and
(iv) Worker empowerment; and
Regulatory (legal) innovation in support of these objectives
The aim is to contribute to laying a basis for platform-based projects (in the broader sense) that can bring together workers and provide them with
the resources to put the above 4 principles into practice. This includes learning from experience, identifying opportunities and sharing ideas on how to plan and launch successful projects.
