In the book she argues that the conceptualization of personhood and how that has been incorporated into labour law rights and protections is essential to understanding the effectiveness of labour law in achieving and promoting social justice. She uses the personhood lens to explore the protections afforded to workers at both individual and collective levels and the way in which labour law responds to labour market challenges (here the pandemic and the introduction of AI). The book explores the potential of the incorporation of a more 'relational' notion of self into the heart of labour law as a means to better achieve social justice for workers.
