Ramón Areces Foundation scholarship for the recruitment of young postdoctoral researchers 2024

The Ramón Areces Foundation calls its scholarships to promote the recruitment of young researchers with a doctorate degree by universities or research centres, to complete their postdoctoral research training in Spanish centres other than those in which they completed the predoctoral training. The priority thematic areas of this call are economic analysis, commercial distribution, applied economics, business economics, economic history,economic analysis of law and European Union law. Candidates must have the endorsement of a tutor and the University or centre where they will join.

Candidates:
Candidates must be in possession of a doctorate degree (thesis defended after January 1, 2022, extendable until January 1, 2021, if special circumstances are proven).

Conditions:
The scholarship allows the candidate to apply for a newly created contract in a Spanish centre (different from the one where she/he obtained her/his doctorate). The aid will have a maximum duration of three years calculated from the date of incorporation of the beneficiary into his or her job at the destination center. The aid for each contract will be 40,000 euros/year (intended to fund both salary and social costs and charges). In addition, an additional aid of 5,000 euros/year will be granted to cover expenses related to research activities.

Presentation and deadline of applications
Applications must be submitted by the candidate, with the endorsement of her/his tutor and the destination centre through the online form available on the Ramon Areces Foundation website. The call is now open and ends on June 6th, 2024.
