The University of Antwerp in collaboration with the Catholic University of Leuven, the University of Hasselt, the University of Liege and the Belgian Early Career Scholars in Social Law Section of Begasoz/Abetrass, invite submissions for the full-day Early Career Scholars Conference: “In search of sustainable employment: Discussing the challenges and addressing the opportunities of labour and social security laws in a national and international perspective” to be held in Antwerp, Belgium at the University of Antwerp on Friday 10th of May 2019.
Submissions addressing the current challenges and opportunities of and for labour and social security law from comparative, doctrinal and theoretical perspectives are most welcome. This includes, but is not limited to, legal, sociological, political and other approaches. The purpose of the conference is to convene a group of early career scholars for a discussion on key emerging questions in labour and social security law, as well as for a social interaction and networking. Others interested in the subject are also more than welcome to attend.
The conference will host presentations in paper sessions and round tables with experts in the field of labour and social law, followed by group discussions, as well as poster sessions during the plenary sessions. The conference will be held in English.
The organisers of the Conference will strive to publish presented papers of enough quality in the form of a special issue in a journal or an edited volume. The possibility of publication will be discussed during the conference and the deadline for delivering a final paper for publication will be set thereafter.
