Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the WorkYP Project, I cordially invite you to the forthcoming international conference on “In-Work Poverty in Europe: Analysis and Perspectives”, which will be held in Bologna next 22nd March 2022, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
The Horizon2020 project Working, Yet Poor (WorkYP) is focused on the increasing social trend of working people at risk or below the poverty line. The overall purpose is to effectively prevent the risk of social dumping, reduce economic shocks, and grant EU citizens regaining confidence in public governance and substantiating their citizenry’s status.
The Bologna conference will aim primarily to present the WorkYP project and disseminate its mid-term outcomes to the relevant stakeholders.
Confirmed keynote speakers include Mijke Houwerzijl and Ane Aranguiz (Tilburg University), Giulia Marchi (University of Bologna), Marta Capesciotti (Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini), Christina Hießl (Frankfurt University), Eleni De Becker (University of Leuven), and Florence Tornincasa (EAPN).
Wiemer Salverda (University of Amsterdam), Bea Cantillon (University of Antwerp), Herwig Verschueren (University of Antwerp), David Natali (Dirpolis Institute), and Andrea Brandolini (DG Economics, Statistics and Research - Bank of Italy) will serve as discussants.
I will introduce the discussion while Andrea Lassandari (University of Bologna) will conclude the conference.
You can register and participate either in person (through this Eventbrite link) or online (through this Zoom link). Please find enclosed the agenda of the event.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,
