Federal University of Rio de Janeiro’s Labour Law Graduate Program (Programa de pós-gradução em Direito da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro)

The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro’s Labour Law Graduate Program (Programa de pós-gradução em Direito da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) encompasses two research groups (Trab21 and CIRT), led respectively by Professors Rodrigo Carelli and Sayonara Grillo.

The research group Trab 21 - Trabalho no Século XXI has been developing the following researches: Work in transport platforms in Rio de Janeiro and Work in the crowdsourcing platforms in Brazil. The research group Trab21 is part of the Brazilian research team in the Faiwork Project (https://fair.work/), coordinated by the Oxford University. It also works together with the Zogris Team (Grey Zone of Employment) - Lise/Cnam - Paris, France and It’s part of the Interdiciplinary Network of studies in outsourcing, along with 20 institutions in many Latin American countries (https://www.flacso.org.ar/seminario-internacional-sobre-tercerizacion-la...).
The group promoted in 2019, along with the Superior School of the Prosecution`s Office a series of international seminars called “Future of Work and the effects of the digital revolution” that brought to Brazil scholars as Valerio De Stefano (Leuven/Belgium), Jeremias Prassl-Adams (Oxford/UK), Joaquín Pérez-Rey (Castilla/La Mancha, Spain), João Leal Amado (Coimbra, Portugal), Teresa Moreira (Minho, Portugal), Donna Kesselman (Paris-Créteil), Christian Azaïs (Cnam, Paris) and Patrick Dieuaide (Paris II Sorbonne Nouvelle). The result of the series of seminars is a book with all the these scholars. The research groups is recognized by the National Research Institute (CNPq) and it’s a member of the Renapedts (National Network of Research in Labour Law).

The research group Cirt- Configurações Institucionais e Relações de Trabalho has been developing the following researches: Mapping the Senses of Labor Reform and Labor Law of exception and Institutional reconfigurations and decent work: a study on the outsourcing of human labor in contemporary Brazil. It also works together with the Zogris Team (Grey Zone of Employment) - Lise/Cnam - Paris, France and It’s part of the Interdiciplinary Network of studies in outsourcing, along with 20 institutions in many Latin American countries (https://www.flacso.org.ar/seminario-internacional-sobre-tercerizacion-la...). It hosted in the 2019 the National Conference of the Renapedts (National Network of Labour Law Research Groups). The research groups is recognized by the National Research Institute (CNPq) and is a member of the Renapedts (National Network of Research in Labour Law).
