Pre-Conference of the ADAPT International Conference
The Pre-Conference, held in Italian, will open the XV edition of the ADAPT International Conference, dedicated this year to the theme “Work and Non-Work, Today. Rethinking the Concept through an Interdisciplinary Perspective”.
The event, titled “Lavoro fuori dal contratto e fuori dal mercato” (Work Beyond the Contract and Beyond the Market), will offer a labour law reflection on forms of activity that fall outside the traditional boundaries of subordinate employment and the market, such as voluntary work, prison labour, care work, and the activities of the unemployed.
It will be an opportunity to reflect on how labour law can redefine its own scope of action in light of the transformations that are constantly reshaping the very meaning of “work.”
The event will be introduced and moderated by Francesco Seghezzi, President of ADAPT, and will feature presentations by:
- Domenico Garofalo, President of the Italian Association of Labour and Social Security Law
- Valerio Maio, Full Professor of Labour Law, University Unitelma Sapienza of Rome
- Francesca Malzani, Full Professor of Labour Law, University of Brescia
- Elena Signorini, Associate Professor of Labour Law, University of Bergamo
Scheduled contributions will follow by Michele Dalla Sega and Giorgio Impellizzieri, Research Fellows at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
